Families Overjoyed to Receive Gifts from PHAK Jun

AYER KEROH, 30 August 2012 – With the mood of Hari Raya still in the air and Merdeka Day drawing closer, the Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh (PHAK) Junior Club team was joined yesterday by more than thirty children and their families in the Paediatrics Ward for the hospital’s Merdeka Raya celebration. The team made their way round the ward, spending time with the children while handing out exclusive goody bags and the Jalur Gemilang.

They were warmly greeted by the families throughout the celebration and Senior Staff Nurse Ee Pei Ling who currently heads the Paediatrics Ward was also present to hand out the gifts to the children. Parents were supportive of the hospital’s initiative to share the joy with children who had to spend their Hari Raya and Merdeka Day celebration in the hospital with family members.
The Merdeka Raya celebration has been an annual affair for PHAK and is part of their corporate social responsibility to reach out and care for the welfare of their local community. “This gesture from Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh is a terrific way to brighten up the children’s day. I’m sure they were pleased with the love the hospital team has given to them”, commended Razlisham Ghazar, one of the parents who had joined in the celebration.

Earlier, the team also showered baby gifts to three parents who had delivered their babies on the first and second day of Hari Raya. The newborn babies were also welcomed into the PHAK Junior Club family, which extends exclusive membership invitations all year round to babies born in PHAK. Club members can enjoy and participate in Junior Club activities set to run at different intervals throughout the year until the year they turn 13. The three mothers, Visalachi A/P Superiamian, Norma Johari and Lim Ai Lian, along with their respective husbands were happy that their babies were safely delivered during the Hari Raya festivities. Norma Johari, who gave birth to her baby boy on the second day of Raya said that little Mohamad Aimanshah is the best gift for Hari Raya and she cannot wait to bring him home to their family.

When commenting on the celebration, Gan Kong Hoe, PHAK’s Chief Executive Officer said, “Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh is privileged to be able to spend our Hari Raya and Merdeka Day with the children in the Paediatrics Ward. Reception towards the efforts of our Junior Club team has always been kind and PHAK looks forward to organize more activities to benefit the children”.
On the Hari Raya babies, Gan expressed that PHAK is honored that parents had selected them as their hospital of choice to deliver their babies.
