The vision of 15 extraordinary individuals - the founding members - led to the establishment of the first Pantai Hospital in 1974 - Pantai Medical Centre Bangsar (now known as Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur). It began operation as a 68-bedded hospital to serve the Malaysian community, as the country's pioneer and premier private hospital. Since then, Pantai has grown to a network of 9 hospitals throughout Malaysia, with medical specialization units such as oncology, cardiology and obstetrics.

Continuously striving to provide its patients with the best in healthcare, Pantai hospitals maintain high standards of quality services, and have been accredited by the International Standard Organisation (ISO), Joint Commission International (JCI) of USA and the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH).
