  1. What kind of documents do I need to bring upon admission?
    The following documents will be required for admission:
    1. Your admission letter from the consultant
    2. Your identity card
    3. Your guarantee letter from your employer, insurance or Managed Care Organization (MCO)
    If you are a cash-paying patient, please bring along the deposit required as informed by the consultant or nurse.

     
  2. Do you accept credit cards and personal cheques? We do accept credit cards, but it is the hospital's policy not to accept personal cheques.

     
  3. How are room rates charged? Our hospital check-out time is 12 noon. After a one day stay, should you leave before 6:00 pm, an additional half-day's rate will be charged. Full day charges will be levied for discharge after 6:00 pm.

     
  4. What do I need to bring with me on admission day? You may be away from your home for a few days or longer. For your own comfort you may want to bring along the following:
    1. Personal Toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, towels, comb / brush.
    2. Personal Effects - comfortable clothing to sleep in.

     
  5. When will the doctor be coming to see me after being admitted? (Usually asked in the morning or as soon as the patient arrives in the ward) Consultants usually begin their ward rounds from 9:00 am onwards. They can come anytime between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. If your doctor has already seen you in the clinic prior to your admission, your doctor will probably be visiting you in the evening again.

     
  6. What is the estimated cost to see a doctor? The cost would depend on the case, the diagnostic tests done and medicine prescribed. It would vary in different cases.

     
  7. How much does an operation cost? The cost would also depend on a case-to-case basis.

     
  8. My operation is at 9.00 am, so why do I have to be in the Operating Room one hour earlier? The patient usually goes early to the Operating Room for the following reasons:
    1. The case before yours may finish earlier than expected.
    2. The Anesthetist may want to give you an epidural anesthesia / pre-medication

     
  9. How soon after surgery can I eat? For surgery that does not involve the alimentary tract, you have to be fully awake, at least 3 - 4 hours after general anesthesia, for you to start with fluids and later a light diet for the day of surgery.

     
  10. What is your "check-out" time? Check-out time is before 12 noon.

     
  11. How long do I have to wait for my medicine and bill to be ready? About an hour after the doctor has signed your discharge.
