More than 14,400 foreign patients journeyed to Pantai Hospitals last year, making it one of Malaysia’s premier destinations for medical tourism with prices for treatment about 50% lower than in the US, Europe, Australia and Hong Kong. The Group is expanding its share of the rapidly growing medical tourism market in Malaysia, with Pantai Hospital Penang, Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh and Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur as the engines of growth.
Pantai also has strategic plans for future expansion within the region, as it continues to expand its existing medical referral centers in the region. Currently, the Group has overseas referral offices in Indonesia and Vietnam which serves as a one-stop referral centre to facilitate inquiries about medical services and treatments available at Pantai Hospitals.
