Dr Teo Boon Chin was appointed as chairman of the Medical & Dental Advisory Committee (MDAC) for Pantai Hospital Ampang with effect from June 2011.

Dr Teo, a very competent and experienced General Surgeon begun his career as a pioneer Resident Consultant in the same discipline in Pantai Hospital Ampang June 2001. Prior to his present appointment, Dr Teo served as the Clinical Specialist in General and Colorectal unit, Selayang Hospital from the year 2000 to 2002. He accumulated vast experience in general surgery through early engagement with surgical training since year one medical officer in 1993 in Malacca Hospital. He made himself a better surgeon by working under many top surgeons in the country when he did his 4 years master degree in general surgery at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Upon successfully completed the Master programmes in 2000, he was appointed as clinical specialist and attached to Selayang Hospital. He learned and became competent in Colorectal surgery; Laparoscopy surgery and Endoscopic procedures at Selayang Hospital. He had assisted the setting up of the very first Colorectal unit in the country at Selayang Hospital.

Dr Teo was appointed as MDAC chairman of Pantai Hospital Ampang in 2008. He was the first doctor from a private hospital that organize structured training program for clinic assistant for General Practitioners clinic, many clinic assistants from around Klang Valley had attended and gained benefit seen as from the program.

The election of Dr Teo as MDAC Chairman for second time by his fellow colleagues are seeing on their endorsement for his strong stand on advocating the idea of an ethical private medical practice must come with an reasonable and affordable charges.

Puan Zuraida has 28 years of nursing experience, began her career as a registered nurse in Coronary Care Unit, Hospital University Kuala Lumpur in the year of 1981.  She has gained vast experience in her nursing career while having worked for various private hospitals in Malaysia.

Puan Zuraida has also worked abroad in the Middle East from the year of 1991 till 2003 in the Intensive Care Unit holding the portfolios as a Speciality Staff Nurse, Head Nurse and Supervisor.

Puan Zuraida joined the Pantai Hospital Cheras in February 2005 as a Nursing Supervisor and subsequently was elevated to the position of a Nursing Officer in February 2008.

She was relocated to Pantai Hospital Ampang in April 2009 in the capacity of a Nursing Officer.
