Pap Smear

Loco-Regional Treatment of Cancer
Loco – Regional Therapy is the current concept of targeting chemotherapeutic and/or other drugs into a specific organ with a view of inflicting a higher dose of drugs into the tumour of a particular organ, without exposing the rest of the patient’s body to the higher than usual side efects of the drug concerned.

Health Screening Centre (HSC)
The Pantai Executive Screening Programme (ESP) is a comprehensive medical examination for early detection of common disorders such as Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Coronary Heart Diseases. Through these tests we can detect abnormalities in the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and urinary tract. A yearly medical check up is beneficial and is recommended for those aged 35 years and above to detect early signs of disease for early intervention.
Water Birth
Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur was the first hospital to offer water birth services in the Klang Valley. The first Malaysian birth in water occurred on 14th June 2009. Treating Morbid Obesity with Lap Band Surgery
If you are morbidly obese and have tried in vain to lose and maintain healthy weight using diets, cures, tablets or medicines, an option you may want to consider may be an operation to artificially reduce the amount your stomach can hold and decrease your appetite. A new surgical method that does this uses the Adjustable Gastric Banding System. The operation is commonly known as Lap Band Surgery.

In-Vitro Fertilisation Unit (IVF)
Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur’s In-Vitro Fertilisation Unit (IVF Unit) which has a 40% success rate in IVF procedures, comparable to international standards, provides a host of infertility services. These include Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and IN-Vitro Fertilisatin (IVF). Of the procedures available, IUI is the easiest fertility treatment available and often the first to be used before patients have “test tube baby” treatment (eg : IVF or Intracytoplasmic (ICSI) ).
