Pantai Hospital Penang is a 250-bedded specialist hospital strategically located in the township of Bayan Baru, and in the vicinity of the Penang Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone. Just a 30-minute drive from the city of Georgetown, the hospital is equally accessible from the mainland via the Penang Bridge. Since its establishment in 1997, Pantai Hospital Penang endeavored to provide quality health care services to Penang and the northern region of Malaysia. It has increased the number of full-time specialist doctors from 10 to 37. Additional services and facilities added to the Hospital include Radiotherapy & Oncology, Cardiology, Dental, Paediatric Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Urology.
In year 2002 and 2003, through the hard work of the dedicated staff and doctors, Pantai Hospital Penang was awarded the prestigious MS ISO 9001:2000 Certification by SIRIM QAS and full 3 years Hospital Accreditation Award by the Malaysia Society for Quality in Health (MSQH).
On 19th September 2008, the Auditors of SIRIM QAS Sdn Bhd. recommended to continue the Certification of MS ISO 9001: 2000 to Pantai Hospital Penang upon the completion of a 2-day Surveillance Audit on the Quality Management System of the Hospital. The scope of the audit covered the nursing services, ancillary services and other support activities of the Hospital with no major and minor non-conformity to the ISO Standards recorded.
On 17th August 2006, Pantai Hospital Penang successfully achieved the 2nd cycle of the MSQH Accreditation Award.
