* Information to Patients
* Patients’ Rights and Responsibilities
* Rights of the Hospital
The Management strongly advises you to ask your doctor for his or her professional charges and approximate total hospitalisation cost. We will be pleased to furnish, on request, the Hospital’s recommended professional fees. This is to avoid unpleasant consequences after the event.
Deposits
The person responsible for payment of hospital bills must pay deposit by cash or credit/charge card accepted by the Hospital Management.
For corporate clients, a guarantee letter that is acceptable by the Hospital Management may be given in place of a deposit. The person responsible for payment must ensure that the required deposit or guarantee letter is given to us within 24 hours after admission. The Hospital Management reserves the right to refuse admission if the foregoing procedures are not fulfilled.
During your stay in the Hospital, you will receive regular statements of accounts and if it is deemed necessary, further deposits may be called for.
For surgical cases, deposit required may differ from the regular deposit amount of the Hospital. The surgeons will inform the patient regarding the deposit required.
Hospitalisation Charges
The hospital will charge patients for the bed, facilities provided, services rendered, medicine taken, examinations done, materials used and other miscellaneous items.
The doctors will charge separately for consultation, operation, anaesthesia, medical treatment, periodical visits and other aspects of professional management and care. Patients will be charged accordingly based on the full room rates, irrespective of the time of admission of length of stay for the first day.
Patients are expected to vacate their rooms by 11.00 am on the day of discharge; or an extra half-day’s rate may be charged. After 6.00 pm, a full day’s rate will be apply.
Discharge
You are required to settle your bill or to produce an acceptable company Guarantee Letter.
You will be requested to pay your bills at the Cashier’s Counter when the bills are ready. Please ensure that you have obtained a discharge slip from the Ward Sister/Ward Receptionist for presentation to the cashier when paying your bills.
Kindly be informed that our discharge time is 11.30am and it will take approximately an hour to process the bill. The process of finalizing the bill for patient discharge under health cards will take approximately 1 to 2 hours.
