Accident & Emergency in Pantai Hospital Cheras

Pantai Hospital Cheras’s Emergency Department operate 24 hours a day and is well-equipped to handle any injury or medical emergency. At the Emergency Department, a dedicated team of doctors and nurses are specially trained for emergency situations. Patients will be screened using the triage system which will determine the priority of medical attention needed. Immediate medical attention will be given to patients with severe illnesses or life-threatening conditions or vice versa. A multidisciplinary team of specialists are also available to provide care and treatment.

Triage & Waiting Time

The triage system is a system or process in accessing patients upon their arrivals to prioritise depending on severity of their conditions. Patient will be categorised and treated according to their presenting symptoms as below:

Red Zone: Emergency

  • Unconscious
  • Severe Breathing Difficulty
  • No Breathing or No Pulse
  • Severe Pain
  • Extremely High Blood Pressure or Low Blood Pressure
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Severe Burn
  • Severe Injuries or Fracture
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Yellow Zone: Urgent

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Moderate Shortness of Breath
  • Sign of Moderate Dehydration
  • Diabetic patient with sugar level below 4 mmol/L or above 20 mmol/L

Green Zone: Non Urgent

  • Mild Bleeding
  • Mild Pain
  • Minor Trauma
  • Mild Fever
  • Upper Respiratory Tract Infection
  • Medication Enquiries
  • Immunization
