Allergy Medication
In 2024, I experienced a red and itchy rash on my skin. My dermatologist prescribed methylprednisolone, cetirizine, and a topical ointment. Afterward, my condition improved. The diagnosis was an allergy. Eight months later, the red, itchy rash reappeared, and my condition improved after taking the same medication. However, until now, I still do not know the cause of the allergy I experienced. Do you have any suggestions regarding this? and what should i do?

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Pantai Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

Based on the information you have provided, it appears that your symptoms have improved with the prescribed treatment, which suggests an allergic reaction. However, as you mentioned, the exact cause of your allergy remains unidentified, and the rash has recurred.

If your symptoms persist or worsen, we strongly recommend that you consult with one of our dermatology / allergy specialists for a thorough evaluation. Our specialists can perform detailed assessments, including allergy testing, to help determine the underlying cause of your condition and provide a personalized treatment plan to manage your symptoms effectively.
