Back and lower back pain.
I did massage ball rolling on my back and lower back muscles each time infelt tired after workout. After 2 years now i have prolonged back and lower back muscle pain.  In the morning when i am fresh i feel better but in the afternoon i feel the pain.  I did Lumbar MRI and there's no conclusion about lumbar problem causing this pain (which i highly suspect i over rolled my back). I would like to know what's the specialist i should see. Thank you

Answer:
Hi Sir/ Madam,

Based on the information you have provided and your lumbar MRI results showing no significant abnormalities, we recommend that you consult with the following specialists for a comprehensive evaluation and management of your symptoms:
1. Orthopedic Spine Specialist:
An orthopedic specialist can perform a thorough physical examination to identify any underlying issues that may not be apparent on imaging studies.
2. Neurologist:
If there is any suspicion of nerve involvement, a neurologist can further assess nerve function and help diagnose chronic pain syndromes.
3. Pain Management Specialist:
For chronic and persistent pain, pain management experts can offer a range of treatment options to help alleviate your symptoms.
Additionally, we encourage you to consider consultation with a physiotherapist who can develop a tailored rehabilitation program aimed at strengthening your back muscles and reducing discomfort.
For your self-care, you may find it helpful to follow the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation) as appropriate to manage pain and inflammation:
Rest: Avoid activities that exacerbate your pain, allowing your muscles to recover.
Ice: Apply an ice pack wrapped in a cloth to the affected area for 15-20 minutes several times a day to reduce inflammation.
Compression: Use gentle compression if swelling is present, but avoid tight wraps on the back.
Elevation: While elevation is more applicable to limb injuries, try to maintain good posture and avoid prolonged sitting or standing in one position.
Please avoid excessive or aggressive use of self-massage tools such as massage balls until you have been fully assessed, as they may exacerbate your symptoms.
