Cardiology or Cardiothoracic Surgery
I had heart surgery before in IJN more than 10 years ago, I would like to follow up my heart condition.  Which Specialist should I refer to?  Cardiology or Cardiothoracic Surgery?

Answer:

Hi, for your situation, we recommend that you consult with a Cardiologist for a comprehensive evaluation of your heart health. A Cardiologist will be able to assess your current heart condition through non-invasive methods such as physical examinations, ECG, echocardiography, and other relevant tests.

If needed, a Cardiologist can then refer you to a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for further interventions or specialized care based on your condition.
