Concern About Lump on My Son’s Neck

I recently noticed a red bump on my son’s neck, and it seems like there is some swelling underneath the skin as well. I’m unsure if it’s just a minor skin issue or something that needs further attention. It does not seem to be going away, and I wanted to check with you on whether I should bring him in for a consultation.

Answer:

It’s advisable to consult pediatrician in this case as the lumps can be due to variety of patholgy. Lymphnodes/ cyst/ lipoma.. etc. However, since it’s red, means it’s infected/ inflammed. Suggest urgent consultation.
