Tangan saya sakit di bahagian ibu jari dan pergelangan tangan kedua2 belah sejak bulan mei 2025..sudah pergi ke hspital kerajaan,doktor cakap De Quervain's tenosynovitis.. telah pergi fisioterapi 3 kali,masih tidak sembuh..

Answer:

De Quervain tenosynovitis can be managed non surgically as a beginning step but once it fails then it is a redflag sign that this problem will not disappear by conservative means no matter how much physiotherapy you were subjected to.

Best is to go for surgical release which is a minor procedure but with a very promising outcome. Another option is to try to inject steroid at the site of tenderness but this is mainly temporary as the compartment that constrict the tendon is still narrowed.
