Haemorrhoids
Hi, I have just received a referral letter from a clinic for further check-up at your hospital. I would like to enquire about the following: I am only available on weekends. I was informed via phone that the clinic operates on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Could you please confirm if this is correct? If not, may I have the latest operating hours? I am currently suffering from haemorrhoids, possibly stage 3 or 4. May I know what treatment options are available? If surgery is required, how long would the hospital stay usually be? Could you please provide a rough estimate of the cost for surgery based on the available treatment options? Do I need to make an appointment in advance, or can I walk in directly? If an appointment is required, which department should I contact? Should I go to the receptionist first for guidance? Could you advise on parking at Pantai Hospital Ipoh? During my previous visit, I noticed limited parking for visitors. If available, please provide directions or instructions. May I request a specific doctor for my consultation, or will I be assigned to the doctor on duty? Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your reply.

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Pantai Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

Our outpatient clinic does operate on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., as advised.

With regard to haemorrhoids, treatment options vary depending on the severity of the condition and the individual patient’s clinical assessment. As such, we are unable to provide specific advice on treatment methods, duration of hospital stay, or estimated costs without a prior consultation. These matters can be better discussed after evaluation by our specialist.

We strongly recommend that you make an appointment in advance with our Colorectal Surgeon rather than walking in, to ensure timely consultation. You may reply directly to this email with the relevant details.
