Headache
I've been having headaches recently and I’m not sure if it’s due to lack of rest. Sometimes I also feel a slight numbness at the back of my head. Should I go for a brain scan or which type of scan should I choose?

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Pantai Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

We understand your experience with persistent headaches and the sensation of numbness at the back of your head can be worrying. In such cases, we highly recommend that you consult with a neurologist first. A specialist will be able to assess your symptoms thoroughly and determine if any diagnostic imaging is necessary.

Rather than proceeding directly with a brain scan, it is best to base the decision on clinical findings. The neurologist will guide you on whether a CT scan or MRI (or any other form of imaging) is appropriate, depending on your evaluation.
