High CA 19.9 (Pancreatic Cancer Marker) - 39.8
Hi, recently I did a medical checkup and I noticed my high CA 19.9 (Pancreatic Cancer Marker) - 39.8 which I'm a little bit worry about it. However I don't have any clue which specialist I should visit for this, may I have some advice on this? Much thanks

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Pantai Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

While CA 19-9 is often associated with pancreatic conditions, it is important to note that mild elevations can also occur in benign conditions such as gallstones, liver inflammation, or even gastritis. However, further assessment is always recommended to rule out any underlying causes.

We kindly advise that you schedule a consultation with a Gastroenterologist, who specializes in the digestive system, including the pancreas, liver, bile ducts, and gastrointestinal tract.

Should you wish to make an appointment at our facility, please let us know your preferred date and time, and we will be happy to assist you with the arrangements.
