PID & UTI
Dear Drs, I am dealing with possible recurring Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (likely non-STI, but other bacteria/biofilm bacteria) and was wondering whether any doctor has experience in treating possible complex PID cases. Further, I have been diagnosed with interstitial cytisis (Painful bladder syndrome) in the UK for the last 6 years. Looking back, I would like to investigate whether this is actually Chronic UTI instead,  and whether it may be linked to my PID/pelvic pain complications. Please kindly let me know whether you will be able to direct me to a specialist who will be able to deal with either treatment or consider both issues in the course of treatment, even if this means going to two separate doctors. This is important to me as I will be travelling back from the UK for a few weeks/months to work towards some form of treatment. Thank you for your assistance and consideration in advance. Kind regards,

Answer:
I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with possible recurring Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Yes it would require separate subspecialty to confirm and manage your condition. Treatment would depend on identified cause . It is important to confirm the diagnosis, and we suggest you to reach out to any of our resident gynaecologists for investigation and advice.
