Prolonged bleeding after gave birth

Hi doctors. I’m in need of advice for my case. I gave birth at HTA, KL on 14/6/2025 via e-czer, reason due to failed of IoL. A day before czer done, one of the dr did membrane sweep and i have been bleeding ever since that. During my postpartum journey, i still bled and around the 60th day, i went to see a gp dr nearby my mom’s house. She did tvs scan and my uterus had shrink nicely. I was prescribed with meds to stop the bleeding however, it did not work once i stopped taking them. Then on the 80th day, i went to see another gp dr. Again, we did tvs scan and uterus still in good condition. But she also checked and found out i had a very small vaginal polyps. She explained to me about it and told that this prolonged bleeding could be a case between hormonal imbalance or the polyps. She then prescibed me with marvelon which did stopped the bleeding while i was on it but it dries up my milk supply. Since i am still breastfeeding, marvelon was out of the picture and it got replace with cerazette. I got my period while on cerazette until day 6. Its day 8 and suddenly the bleeding came eventhough its not heavy. Please, what do i need to do?

From what you described, your uterus seems to have recovered well. The continued or returning bleeding could be due to hormonal changes, the small vaginal polyp found earlier, or side effects from Cerazette. It is common for some women on Cerazette to have irregular or breakthrough bleeding.
We advise you to:
1.	Come for a review at our O&G clinic for a proper check-up. The doctor may repeat an ultrasound or pelvic exam.
2.	Bring all your medications and previous scan results during the visit.
3.	Keep track of your bleeding pattern (amount, colour, and any pain or discharge).
If the bleeding becomes heavy, or if you feel dizzy or unwell, please go to the Emergency Department immediately.
