Psychiatrist consultation in the ward
Hello, my 7 year old son  has a brain tumour and has gone through many surgeries. He is currently admitted in the ward at Pantai Hospital KL and will be having another surgery soon. Since his diagnosis in 2023, I have been constantly anxious, stressed, restless and worried and  I can’t do anything in peace because I keep thinking something bad will happen to him. I really need help for my anxiety, but since I’m taking care of him in the ward, I don’t have time to leave. Is it possible for a psychiatrist to come and see me in my son's ward here?

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Pantai Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

Thank you for reaching out to us, and we are truly sorry to hear about what you and your son are going through. We understand how incredibly difficult and overwhelming this time must be for you.

Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that psychiatric consultations at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur are currently only conducted in the doctor’s clinic.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and we recognize how important it is for you to receive support during this period. As an alternative, we would be happy to assist you in scheduling an appointment with one of our psychiatrists at the outpatient clinic at a time that is most convenient for you.
