UTERUS INFECTION
Hi doctor, I want to know what is the cause of uterus infection? Is one of the symptoms of a uterus infection experiencing bleeding beyond the normal menstrual period? For 31 days. Are these symptoms related to Pelvic inflammatory disease?

Answer:
Hello! Uterine infections, also known as endometritis, are usually caused by bacteria entering the uterus after childbirth, miscarriage, or certain medical procedures. Symptoms can include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, fever, and abnormal discharge. Bleeding beyond the normal menstrual period for 31 days could be a sign of a uterine infection or another underlying issue such as hormonal problems, fibroids or ployps. It's important to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. If you experience severe pain, fever, or heavy bleeding, please seek medical attention immediately.
