Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy involves a detailed assessment and treatment intervention planning aimed at increasing your independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) such as self-care, homemaking tasks, as well as work / school and leisure activities.

  • Specialise in improved functional use of the hand and shoulder functions
  • Assist children with development delays or learning disabilities to achieve their highest potential
  • Address problems with cognition and visual perception 
  • Offer advice on appropriate assisted devices/aids when you have problems carrying out your normal ADL 
  • Offer advice and counselling to both patients and their families 

 

Who We Serve

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a form of health care that prevents, identifies, corrects and alleviates acute or prolonged movement dysfunction with the emphasis on mobility, an independent lifestyle and wellness.
  
Physiotherapists provide advice and intervention treatment to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function throughout the lifespan, with emphasis on preventive health care.

We offer services throughout the lifespan, from the new-born to the elderly. For anybody having difficulty in the following areas: 

  • Sport to Work Related Injuries
  • Overuse Injuries: muscle, tendon or ligament problems
  • Respiratory Problems such as asthma, chest infections, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
  • Postural Problems due to or resulting in muscle imbalance
  • Neurological Deficit such as stroke, Parkinson Disease, traumatic head injuries, cerebral palsy 
  • Back Pain and Neck Pain
  • Balance Problems
  • Women Health Problem including pregnancy and post-partum related problem: osteoporosis, stress incontinence

Speech Language Therapy

Speech Language Therapy helps patients improve their communication, eating, drinking and / or swallowing abilities through a series of treatments. Our Speech and Language Therapists will conduct a thorough assessment and provide treatment and management for both adult and paediatric patients. We also provide education and training for family members, carers and/ or nursing staff.
