Exposure to secondhand smoke, is one of the proven factors to cause worsening lung conditions especially in vulnerable age group, such as infants. Other than delaying recovery from pre-existing infections, it may cause worsening symptoms of lung infection, trigger an asthma attack in asthmatics, and may trigger wheezing in children.
