What is the normal range of temperature for newborn?
Published On: 25/02/2022

Generally, for newborn babies (4 weeks and younger), the recommendation is to check with an electronic axillary thermometer. A temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and below is considered normal.

For children between 4 weeks and 5 years old, an infrared tympanic membrane thermometer is acceptable alongside an electronic axillary thermometer. The same rule applies – any temperature below 38 degrees Celsius is considered normal.
