How Do I Know If My Child Has Influenza?

The most accurate and objective method to diagnose influenza is via Nasal swab influenza rapid test. Nonetheless, patients with influenza typically present with sudden high spiking temperature up to 40 degree celsius, severe headache, sore throat, flu and cough. 

Younger children are at risk of febrile seizure due to the high fever and brain inflammation. Other than that, do enquire the school authorities whether other children in the class are diagnosed with influenza as this increase the suspicion for influenza.
